"Live Strong in Character - Don't Leave Your Family"

Pretending differently doesn't change those facts. More brilliance. A Jesus Freak as spokesman for the gay community. Uh, Tom, if 90% of homosexuals had their first experience with older men, what percentage were lesbians? And why did they turn gay: they got so turned off by the wrinkles and bad breath? You are such a freaking tool. Maybe your actual point refers to Catholic priests and alter boys. Would make more statistical sense. Tom, and others, seem to believe that talking to homosexuals leads to becomming one. It would be amusing if there weren't individuals attempting to make laws upon such misconceptions. In the animal kingdom, sexuality is clearly a biochemical reaction. Many species of fish, for example, begin their life as female and then, when the dominant male in the region dies, become male (even if pregnant at the time). Odder, if you introduce a more dominant male back into the mix, the new male reverts to female once again. Choice? Is the wrasse (sheephead) gay? Lesbian? Go figure. In the womb, all fertilized eggs begin, essentially, as female. At some point in the lifecycle (2-3 weeks, I believe it is) biochemical changes occur that change the egg from female to male (hence, male babies, and adults, have secondary sexual characteristics such as nipples, breast tissue, etc.). Since the transition is biochemical, and biochemical processes are similar, but not identical nor consistent in all cases, it is clear that some embryos experience varied amounts of these chemicals in the womb. We already know that hormones can change the outward appearance of males and females, and we already know that the functions of the brain are driven by biochemical responses. Is it not possible, Tom, that natural processes, you can't call them mistakes, really, made during the complications of reproduction determine the sexuality of the human? It is infinitely more likely to be the case than it is to be a "lifestyle choice." As to your statistics, roughly 90% of human sexuality begins in the teen years. Of these, some boys have sex with older women, some girls have sex with older men, and yes, gays and lesbians also may have had sex with older individuals as well. This is meaningless. Define "older?" If you are 14 and your sexual partner is 15, isn't that older? Stats like this, with pharsing like this, are ambiguous enough to be meaningless. Rick |
