JJ,

I was being a smart ass, sort of. You're welcome for the link. This
lawsuit is about to be dismissed.

DA,

I did mistype that. You are very, very acute.

Dude, now he's gonna think you're coming on to 'im. ;-)

(thanks for the link to the latest court pleading, PM)

I believe what I meant to
write was something like a 400 watt average watt output.

I don't have the magazine in front of me, but I do recall the article

saying
that Danielson had more power than Lance's watt/kg output.

And hey, if I can average 20 mph. on a 40-45 mile ride these days without
churning a huge gear I'm happy. But I can only do that in board-flat
Dallas. I don't purport to be a physiological expert anyhow.

PhilDo,
Good post - Those numbers would mean he's actually a lot better than
the L-Factor. If my rudimentary math skills are up to par that would
have him putting out roughly 24,000 watts. I hope you read your briefs
a bit more critically than you do cycling rags.

I'm amazed they didn't exercise due diligence!

So are the plaintiffs going to get socked by the penalties or do they have
one more last ditch chance to drop the case?

They've already been fined twice and still re-pleaded (!). They should have
dropped after that - they're no match for Armstong's legal resources who
brought in a specialist to tear their case to ribbons. The hired guns were
probably laughing until they cried after reading this truly dumbass
lawsuit. (and dreaming of big screen tvs.) ;-)

Actually, Armstrong is the Plaintiff. Anderson is the defendant and
counter-plaintiff.

This looks like Anderson tried to blackmail Armstrong.

Wait till the Giro, when we hear how the climbs are too long for his
'style'. Nothing but excuses with this Fred.

He sucks.

He is in Europe, and you;re not. That's kinda like a farm league loser
saying the major leaguers suck. You race for free movie pass primes. Tom
Danielson can afford to buy his own ticket.

CP is busy right now and it looks like you've gotten a little too cozy
so let's get this straight here and now:

You're a phat phuck, phil. And while you've displayed an amount of
impudence that matches this generous girth, you possess an equally vast
yet diametrically opposing amount of propriety on this thread's
contents sufficient to warrant the meekest of comment.

So don't let our public bashing of the Danielsons or the Subways give
you a false sense of entitlement to join in, 'cause you don't have it.
Slog through the trenches and gut out enough chits to clip in at the
line at any race of your choosing on the UCI road calendar then come
back here and tell us how things are here and there compared to this
and that. In the meantime let's have you adhere to the balance of
powers our forefathers so prudently granted us and contain your
judgements to the approprate branch of threads in rbr.

And since you probably still don't get it, despite the anonymous
monikers you see, the few pros here know who's who. We bash because
we've been on teams with each other in the past or will next year or
the year after and we'll all get along - despite the smack-talk and for
good or bad we're all bros in the end. You haven't, you won't, you
don't and in the end you're not.

So enjoy yourself here, sit back down on the couch, make yourself a
drink, chat with some friends and keep this in mind:
Know where you stand and post accordingly.
And be mindful that the rbr free pass just expired.

What makes you think we give a **** about some third rate
pro? Frankly, I'd rather hear about the local crit gossip
than the smack from you and cp. If it was funny that would
be different, but it's not funny, just lame and pathetic.

You can choose any UCI race you want? So I guess you're on a Pro Tour team
then? So why aren't you over in Europe right now?

back here and tell us how things are here and there compared to this

This from the guy who said, "You shouldn't be impressed with any 'pro'. It's
a ridiculous designation here. In the US most are just glorified cat ones."

Know where you stand and post accordingly.

Seems like you too have forgotten your place.

In addition, some of the people he's "tuning in to the real deal" have
raced in other sports, or are former athletes who have turned to cycling
after successful careers and are familiar with the racing scene.

I do think there's a fair amount of humor - you just have to read between
the lines.

At least it's not like on the MMA forums where the guy challenges you to a
deathmatch(tm) and threatens to show up on your doorstep at 2am.

These guys will just race you on a bike until you puke if you show up and
confront them - and then if you have anything left ask you to go get drunk
together. That's a good thing. ;-)

Dear DNF74,
Whoah, you are really schooling these fat cycling enthusiasts, dood.
That's so awesome. Hey, can I get your autograph? I want to show all my
friends that I am affiliated with a totally rad pro who posts daily on
the internet about how pro he is. That is so pro, dood. I hear that
when Jordan retired (the last time) he toured the country's parks
looking for pickup games where he could school short pudgy white guys
with desk jobs at H&R Block. If you could sign one of your bibnumbers
from a recent NRC race and send it to me, I would be most frothful in
my adulation. If you are still "chubbed" from the antics of your pet
monkey, please don't hesitate to sign it in spunk. Kthx.

Your eternal sycophant,
Smurf
