Default Super Summer Riding Shaping up...

As holiday plans are starting to fall into place it looks like this is
gonna be a banner year for finding new places to ride. Linda and I have
looked into a dozen or so trails that will be completely new to us. How
many of them I'll actually be allowed to ride remains to be seen.
However, it's nice to know that this summer is being devoted to riding
new trails in new places. We won't be going out of the province, but
we'll be well versed in the riding of this province by the time that
summer is over. That's a good thing.

One that I'm looking forward to is a 1,200ft climb over three and a half
miles. If I can actually make it up that thing it'll be a forearm buster
on the way back down!

Another is located in a ski area with lots of rolling terrain, unlike
the flat stuff that I'm used to around here. (Sounds like I'm gonna get
to know the nose of my saddle fairly intimately this summer...)

Then there will be a couple of different places that host XC races
during various times of the year. Naturally I won't be in any of the
events, but riding the trails would prove fun.

As well I've got some volunteering lined up. One day is set aside to
help out at an all-day point to point race. Then there is the usual
trail work that will need to get done over the season. It's all good.

To top it all off my Doc took a close look at my meds and said that
there wouldn't be any problem if I had "A" post-ride beer! WooHoo! Can't
have lots, but the Doc definitely said that I could have "A" beer, once
in a while. That means that I can also have the occasional singlemalt as
well (I hope you saw that J'm)

Linda and I are gonna be getting a little point and shoot 35mm with a
remote, so that we too can provide you all with the occasional pictorial
RR.

I hope that all the rest of you have a great summer shaping up!

Or it will get to know you!

That's great. Thanks (taking the liberty of speaking for MTBers in general)

It's the little things, isn't it? Mmmm - singlemalt. I recently polished off
a Macallan 18 yr I'd been nursing for a couple of years. Wonderful stuff. I
raise my virtual (it's only noon) glass to you. Cheers!

Great. Just don;t do what I did with mine - promptly loose it.

I hope that all the rest of you have a great summer shaping up!

So far so good!

Matt
