Default Why do they keep crashing?

Why do they keep crashing? We expect
some crashes in the first week, but
there appears to be no slacking off
in the crash rate. Well, statistics
do not lie.

"Twenty riders have so far left the race. Think that's a
lot? It's not. The tenth stage today has 188 riders,
and here is how it compares to the last few years:

2010 – 181 riders
2009 - 179 riders
2008 – 169 riders
2007 – 171 riders"

The problem is that not _enough_ racers
have abandoned. Even getting run down by
a car will not deter these warriors. And
_one_ positive dope test. Come on. If you
want to make the racing safer you need to
get more positives and make the first week
more dangerous. At least, that is how I see
it. Once the peloton is thinned out, there
will be fewer crashes. Plus getting the
dirty dog dopers disqualified will deter
doping and slow down the mad pace.

Default Why do they keep crashing harder ?

Crashes like Vino had are making the crashing more apparent this
year.

It's not statistics. It's the images of broken bones, guys tangled up
in barb wire.

100 tour riders killed is a statistic - 1 king of mountains tangled in
barb wire is a tragedy.

Actually, 178 riders started stage 10.

Riders crash in the Tour because they are idiots and jackoffs who think
that winning a stage is some huge accomplishment in life when it's not.
Because of this delusion, they take unnecessary risks. Euro-queer
roads that are as wide as a a 13 year old Ukranian teen's vagina is
another contributing cause.

This is only going to get worse as stupid Euro teams think they should
pay top dollar for these stage win junkies like Voekler and other frauds
like him - assholes who think wearing the yellow jersey halfway through
the race means something when everyone knows they'll never keep it the
first day the road tilts up.

There's a lot of faggots in this sport and not enough French TV cars to
take them all out.
