- in Maine. Only time in my life I have\

OK, you got me beat, having to avoid the interests of a horny moose is
not something I would like to experience. Especially since I don't even
think I could turn a 52/12 on the flats, even if I had one!

here black bear came up the bench and

at 30 mph and ten feet away.

Had a bear cross my path on a MTB ride down theSierras a few years back.
I let him go about his (her?) business and he she didn't get into
mine.

Made for a good campfire tale though.
