Mountain biker injured in deer collision

A mountain biker was seriously injured after crashing into a deer in Frastanz, Vorarlberg, Austria at the weekend.

The deer crossed the bikers path as he rode down a hill.

The 48-year-old man was seriously injured in the accident which happened just after midday.

He was taken to hospital in Feldkirch where he is recovering from broken bones and cuts and bruises.

The deer had came suddenly into his path not leaving him enough time to avoid it.
