Default Riders out yesterday...

Saw stacks of riders coming back into the city from rides down the beach
obviously with only the one biddon on the bike and out at the hottest part
of the day with sun blaring down and hot wind.

I love cycling but why would you head out in that sort of weather unless you
had too???

Is it that important to get a few most probably junk kms into the legs??

You can stop and refill them, it's not illegal or anything.

There was a triathlon at Elwood yesterday so you may have been seeing
quite a few people returning from that (given there 2500 in the race).

That is a big call.... why not call up Lapthorne and tell him racing
Glenvale in that heat is a waste of time?

Agree.
Out at 06:30 for me for a leisurely 50kms
17 degrees when I left and 27 deg. 2 hours later when I got home...best
part of the day! Bugger all traffic too.
