Default TdF on Versus Online?

I just realized that while I don't get Versus on my tv, I can possibly
watch the TdF via the computer attached to my tv. Versus wants $30 for
this service and I am willing to consider it. But I have some questions
and hope someone out there has done this before me...

(a) Are the full stage videos the same programming as what they
Broadcast? Do you get commentary, Phil and Paul? Are there commercials?
If so, can they be skipped-over with ease?

(b) They seem to want me to setup a Map-My-Ride account or something. In
doing so, they seem to want some form of access to my gmail account. I
am hesitant to do so. Can you tell me what is going on here or what I
need to do as a minimum to get signed-up?

Thanks

while not current, you need a tuner for the computer then a paid for
connection with your local cable guy. The paid for would include a
Versus connection prob shared with other similar BS like PROFESSIONAL
CHILD KILLING FROM OMHAHAHA.

Do you then watch the Tour ? OFF COURSE NOT...did you just get here or
what ?

You need to call Eccelstone if you want to watch the Tour.

Tell your TV program provider that you want to
upgrade to include Versus. Afterwards, have it
turned off. Less than $30.

Well, I only have off the air digital TV so I cannot do much with your
suggestion. Anyone else have experience? Thanks

I looked for access before buying cable access. I found a lotta snake
oil claims. One Euro site was roundly squeewered for false claims.
With auto racing, I bought the cartoon NASCAR offering, as an
experienced railbird, NASCAR's snake oil site followed thru, very
entertaining.

With the Tour of Georgia, we had segments of coverage on TV. Once
lived in that area, I folllowed visually then when video went off,
followed the emailed print reports over tracking in Topozone.

The odd Euro TdF sites were claiming trhat kinda combo but didn't
deliver.

its the same as the early morning live broadcast as on versus
previously; intro and exit announced by someone I can't remember right
now, Paul and Phil in the main part (none of the evening rebroadcast
with bob roll etc). No commercials (except for all of the advertising
at the perimeter of the screen). All you need is an email account and
a credit card and to reside in the US. They will automatically create
a mapmyride account as part of the process, ignore it. the painful
part is the computer interface. you have to be able to run the
silverlight plug-in on what ever browser is needed depending on your
hardware. IE for windows, safari for macs, etc. it worked great on
xp sp3 with ie 8 up until yesterday for me. now it will only work on
my mac laptop in safari. have tried all the suggested fixes to no
avail... vastly frustrating. the service/help desk is close to
useless. while some can make it work, it will not run on firefox 5 on
either of my machines. at least they solved the sound issues that
plagued last year's vs computer broadcast. find a friend with cable
and bring beer.
