Caffeine is
a performance enhancing substance. Nearly every rider in Europe drinks
espresso
or coffee with breakfast. Should that be scrutinized as well? How can

cast recriminations over use of legal substances?

How about pasta? I bet they shamelessly pound that stuff down and never
bother to mention that to the press.

Damn right, "food" is a pernicious performance enhancing substance since
obviously one's performance with food (and good nutrition since birth) will
greater improve one's chances over someone who didn't eat or didn't have
access to good food as a child!

Next they'll be banning "air" for the same reason!
