Weather forecast for US left coast
These are some computer simulations of what the approaching storm
might be doing on the US west coast today and for about 5 days. Pacific Ocean sustained winds: https://www.windy.com/37.081/-122.09...27,5,m:eGXacLF Pacific Ocean wind gusts: https://www.windy.com/-Wind-gusts-gu...98,6,m:eGXacLF Weather radar composite: https://www.windy.com/-Weather-radar...98,6,m:eGXacLF Rain and Thunder: https://www.windy.com/-Rain-thunder-...98,6,m:eGXacLF There are plenty other views that might be of interest, such as wind at various altitudes. Again, these are forecasts and projections, not satellite photos or crystal ball images. I've been watching the colorful maps change over the last few days with interest. Basically, the forecasts have been moving target that change in strange ways. You probably won't see many changes with the free (standard) version because it only updates 2 times per day with 3 hr forecasts. The premium version updates 4 times per day with 1 hr forecasts and offers slightly higher resolution maps. Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with bicycling, tech, politics, COVID or bouncing tomatoes. I just thought it might be of some interest. -- Jeff Liebermann PO Box 272 http://www.LearnByDestroying.com Ben Lomond CA 95005-0272 Skype: JeffLiebermann AE6KS 831-336-2558 |

There goes my evening bike ride. Down to the dungeon to ride the rollers. I prefer it when the snow stays in the mountains and find nothing exciting or picturesque about snow in town. I have snow tires on my car, but I'll be in the minority -- watching the majority sliding down the local hills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kyfj...annel=btlfed21 To be fair, no non-studded tires do much good in ice. I gave up my asphalt eaters and now use studless, which are just O.K. in ice, but probably better in snow. -- Jay Beattie. |

Well, yes, The north wind doth blow, And we shall have snow, And what will the robin do then, poor thing? He’ll sit in a barn, And keep himself warm, And hide his head under his wing, poor thing! No need to worry, the Mayor will block all public access and order the ice to clear. |
