spoke lengths for shimano hubs?

a computer program at Dr. Scwhinn's emporium suggests Shimano front
hubs and then seperately shimano rear hubs share hub bodies so the
spoke mounts are the same-
the result seems to be one can switch shimano hub types and lace the
same spokes lengths?
is this true of the Sora front hubs and the Deore front hubs-same spoke
lengths for both?
how does this break down between atb types and road types?

Yes, the hubs have the same spoking dimensions
Yes, the hubs have the same spoking dimensions ecept when you get into
6 bolt disc hubs.
There is not break down when following "the Bicycle Wheel". You need
to measure the Effective Rim Diameters and do the calculations.... or
just use the Rinard calculator on Sheldon Brown's web site.

DT Swiss has a generic 100mm Shimano front hub in its database. It's
probably close to either of the two types of hubs. I used that measurement
to lace my old-school Shimano 105 hubs.

Except for large-flange disk brake hubs, all are the same.
