Default Times for LAlpe d´Huez.

I have the folowing times for LAlpe d´Huez.

1995 Pantani 36.40s
1997 Pantani 36.35s
1994 Pantani 37.15s
1997 Jan Ullrich 37.30s
2001 Lance Armstrong 38.01
1995 Mikel Indurain 38.04
1995 Alex Zulle 38.04
1995 Bjarne Rijs 38.06
1997 Richard Virenque 38.11
2003 Iban Mayo 39.06

However, were those other times done with assist of team-mates?

Were there not a lot less "fans" at those allowing a better line?

I felt sure LA was slower than his training rides, even though he
mentioned that was considered (constriction of the best line/ route by
presence of more fans and cars).

Surprised to see those huge vertical vent drains, even with an orange
cone!

You know the boys at Team Postal are gonna gather round the briefing
table and looke at each other for a few seconds in silence...and then
suddenly all at once burst out laughing.

LA - still wearing those black sox.

Alpe d'Huez is *always* packed with crowds. It's part of the tradition/culture
of the Tour.

Also, are the start/finish lines /exactly/ the same every year? Wouldn't
think so, especially when part of a "regular" stage (as opposed to TT).

Don't know to be honest - I've never been to that stage in person - just
watched it for years on the goggle box :-)
