Default New ride

Hi, I'm looking for a new, mtb: lightweight, hardtail, preferably
cro-mo framed and v-braked to replace my aging mtb. Does NOT need to
be current model. Price upto $1500.... can anyone help with guidance?
Thanks.

For that sort of budget you will end up with disc brakes which isn't
really a bad thing.

I just purchased a Kona Caldera. This is a sweet bike and i smile everytime
i take it out. I paid $CAN 1250. But with your budget, i'm sure you'll be
able to buy something much better.

Dear Glo, & list:

For that kind of $ you might be able to get a custom-built frame. Long
as you were willing to use your old equipment or fork ....

Check out Strong in Bozeman MT, for instance.

There's nothing like a custom frame.
