Default QR20/Marzocchi question

I have a 2000-era Marzocchi Z1 "QR20" fork. The dropouts look like a
conventional dropout, only bigger. No bottom lock like on the later
designs, and no fully-enclosed axle holes.

What is compatible with these? I have a 20 mm hub (with no axle), so I
can build that up, but will the typical Marz "QR20" axles available
online be the right part, or are they meant for the later locked-on
designs?

Is there an adapter available for the QR20 fork to allow me to use a
regular hub and wheel?

I tried looking this up, but there seems to be no good discussion of the
difference between the two (?) Marzocchi QR20 standards and the modern
QR20 spec and plain 20 mm through-axles. I'm confused.

I hope to use it as an overkill-upgrade on a hardtail XC mountain bike
(a Kona Kilauea with a '97 Marz Z2 fork, 65 mm of travel).

I own two marzo forks. Year 2000 Z5 XC and 2004 Z150 Freeride. Both
are QR20 and I believe that Z5 has the same dropouts as your fork.
Both use the same QR20 axle, to a level where I could replace one with
the other. Everything works fine

Thanks. That fills me with some confidence I can use this thing.
