UniDudeDX wrote: would sanding even work?? how does this stuff sand and how hard is it really.... I have no idea how well it sands, I do know however that you wouldn't want to breath it in. That was a Wallis base, yeah. The same setup I've got on my street uni except I got one without the threaded bolt inserts. -- Brian O. *'ProjectUNI' (http://www.projectuni.com) - *The First Serious Unicycle Computer Game* - -ProjectUNI update available 'here!' Wait, are you even sure you ordered a KH base? I know people make quite a few mistakes when they order and forget to select certain options. Check your order/receipt e-mail they sent, and make sure it says KH styled in the description. If it says that, its their fault, and it will be worth it to just send it back and get the right shape. Though if it was your fault for not really checking things over when ordering, well then, tough luck I guess. Sorry. I dont think UDC would really refund things on user error, but you could still try. Hope you get it working. A CF base will be the next thing I buy. I broke my post not too long ago and replaced that with a CroMo one, but now I feel like the base will break next, and then the rim. lol -- Jerrick -i am christian, and i ride for christ. check out my 'gallery' (http://tinyurl.com/2zfklh). member of the 'mris' (http://tinyurl.com/jjjnz). just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do. where there's love and inspiration, i don't think you can go wrong. ~jerrick- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jerrick's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/11632 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/63119 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- ** SPEED ** RETENTION ** COMPLETION ** ANONYMITY ** ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

I think the whole deal bout the foam is easily solved by puttung the cover on pretty tight.... so all i really gotta do is sand arount the front a bit and sand the edges down a bit and it should be sweet. the back bumper fits really well in the first place so i just need the front done and the edges not to rip the cover. the i can bend my post a little to account for the bottom and it should be good. so i think im gonna do it. what u think Brian?? and for Jerrick '[image: http://uploads.screenshot-program.com/th00a00064003e80-8560611323.jpg]' (http://tinyurl.com/2qhxkm) -- UniDudeDX 'My Youtube Profile!' Brian O. wrote: Personally, I prefer the shape of Miytata (Wallis) bases. They've got less curve in them and since the sidewalls are higher theres more room to grip during SIF. By far, Miyata style seat are way better. Especially with a Kinport handle. Did you ordered the saddle or your father or mother did it. Maybe they saw "standard" so they pick the miyata style. -- Emile.m Ntappin wrote: I'm a butcher, and it took me like 10 minutes to get one nub off my luna. 2nd *)---TreFlip-'O, M'y galler' (http://tinyurl.com/23w828)y ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Emile.m's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/16667 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/63119 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- ** SPEED ** RETENTION ** COMPLETION ** ANONYMITY ** ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

Jerrick wrote: ... Thats why I said they would only refund if its actually what he ordered. Also, Jerrick, I thought you said there was no reason to get a CF base? You just need proper form right? Isn't that what you said? unidude I'd just go for it. The foam really isn't an issue. Like you said, once you tighten down the cover theres no problem with it. -- Brian O. *'ProjectUNI' (http://www.projectuni.com) - *The First Serious Unicycle Computer Game* - -ProjectUNI update available 'here!' My handle never sat flush in my base. I just tightened it in. there is a white line where the handles stretch from tightening them, but I have yet to break one there. -- agentQ *)--SmallSpin-'O,* *)---TreFlip-'O, 'Uneed Films' (http://www.uneedfilms.com) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ agentQ's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/13021 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/63119 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- ** SPEED ** RETENTION ** COMPLETION ** ANONYMITY ** ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |
