Bummer. I do not have to do major braking. Hangon. Are there other brake pads that wear longer that do not cost big bucks? Something is amiss. I'd expect 4,000 miles of commuting out of brake pads. Sorry, but you gave me nothing useful. Then again, neither did you. You didn’t say what type of brakes you have, what type of brake pads you use now, or how long they last. For a person with an e-mail address of “scientist77107”, you’re awfully stingy with data. It would be like me going to my doctor and saying “Something hurts ... sometimes”. You really ought to give me time to give more details instead of calling me names. Andy Why do I need to “give you time to give more details”? Were you not aware of those details when you first posted? Did you not think they might be relevant to your question? Again, using a medical analogy, it would be like going to the doctor’s office and when they ask you what’s wrong, replying “Yeah, let me think about that...” There will always be some back and forth and additional questions and answers, but giving some reasonable amount of detail in the first place really increases the odds that somebody is actually going to take the time to answer you. |

I found these. He was simply explaining that you shouldn't say you have problems without saying what the problems are. And I agree completely. How the hell do we know if you don't have rims that are worn out on the brake surface that are eating the shoes up? |
