Compulsory Motorways
We were cycling here on Pagan Midwinter Festival day Side by side in accordance with the Highway Code. A motorist told us we were in the middle of the road. Motorist hypocrisy never ceases to amaze. |

We are told cyclists should use cycleways where available so why wasn't the motorist on the motorway? |

We were cycling here on Pagan Midwinter Festival day Is that relevant to what follows? Side by side in accordance with the Highway Code. You were on a single lane B road, going far slower than the other motor traffic on that road normally goes. Surely, whatever your rights are, you can see that that is going to cause inconvenience and possibly annoyance to other road users? Nobody is suggesting you should not cycle there, but if you cycle in single file, it is much easier for other traffic to pass you safely. A motorist told us we were in the middle of the road. Motorist hypocrisy never ceases to amaze. |

The motorist could have used the parallel motorway and there would have been no problem. |

How do know this fact for "all cyclists" when there is currently two billion bicycles in use around the world, including a high proportion of those cyclists that are also car drivers?
