Default Cyclist fails to see and runs over two people

A cyclist was left bruised and in shock after hitting two students who
were having a drunken nap on a bike path.
Brian Galloway was riding towards his work in Troon , Ayrshire, when he
hit the pair at about 4.30am

If the same people were in the carriageway of the A303, what would the headline be?

"Early hours drivers change lane after seeing obstruction with the help
of headlights"?
