Strict liability rules to change
It looks like, from
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au...2-2722,00.html "The most dramatic change is WADA's acceptance that its rule of strict liability (athletes are responsible for what goes into their bodies without excuse) occasionally punishes those who do not intend to cheat." On the flip side, anti-doping bodies want WADA to impose four year bans for first offences for strong drugs, like hormones. The whole WADA code will be revamped after the world anti-doping conference in November. To me, most of these changes look fairly sensible. Jeff |
