A project bike: Early 80s Proteus frame (Reynolds 531) with Tange chrome
fork. 53.5X56.5 cm center-to-center. I.e., a 21.5" frame with a long top
tube.

Fastback stays, rear fender mounts, double w/b fittings, shift lever bosses,
3 top tube cable eyelets. Uses standard-reach brakes, not short reach.
High bottom bracket height (makes for a good climber), 40" wheelbase, uses
27.0 s/p. Very smooth Shimano 600 h/s included. Tange chrome fork needs
polishing but okay, frame needs complete stripping and respray. No rust,
but the paint is in bad shape.

These are very rare and worth the effort if you're a collector or just
interested in getting a good bike with low miles and lots of garage wear.
This would make a fantastic day-tourer if you fit it.
$185 shipped conUSA.
