jan 25th...gone.
Hey, where is the big news from Tyler's hearing? I checked the USADA
website and saw nothing. It is current, as there is an "athlete advisory" dated Jan 27th regarding the status of "Yasmine". |

I think the cycling career of TH just died a quiet death.

The other possibility is that just because the hearing was on the 25th, it doesn't predicate the report from the arbitration coming out on the 25th. The decision of the arbitration panel has to be debated, reached, typed up, and then communicated to the athlete and the USADA. Then the USADA issues a press release. For instance, in the case of Adam Sbeih, who tested positive for rEPO, the hearing was on March 14th, with the arbitration ruling (and the press reelease from USADA) coming on the 25th. So I would guess we whould hear something (if, indeed, the hearing did take place) around the end of the first week of February, or shortly thereafter. |

You're correct in that no decision will be reached for weeks or months after a hearing. The question is whether or not a hearing took place and will Tyler or his lawyer tell us what his defense was. |

One observation would be thet *if* a hearing did take place on the 25th, then the news ain't very good for TH, otherwise they'd have ahd the press conference announcing his 2005 schedule. Or at least, that's what I'd imagine would happen if he were exhonorated... |

That's possible. However, I have to agree with SH that if Tyler had presented a strong case, he's be out there doing pr spin. Time will tell. I wonder if Perez will have anything to say about Tyler once he's suspended. |

Perhaps, it's just better to keep quite until there is a verdict as his
case, assuming he's right, will highlight that the type 2 error (a positive when it should be a negative) is too high. The XXADA's can't have that and Tyler can't be wrong; there needs to be an answer where both parties needs are served. That answer is not clear to me; assuming TH did nothing wrong as he claims.
