Default How do I hide messages from/about Mike Vandeman and others

I'm using Thunderbird and would like to hide messages from certain
"contributors".
Anybody know the rule to apply? So far it has failed to work but maybe
it won't pull out existing messages from the newsgroups. Though, looking
at it, I don't see any messages from him/them since yesterday.
I would dearly love to see this newsgroup used by MTB riders again.

Hopefully Mozilla Thunderbird, not Gallo Thunderbird:

Go to a message by the offending user. Right click on the offending
user's name/email in the message display window and choose Create
Filter From Message. Leave the settings in the top half of the pop-up
window alone From and is and in the bottom half of the pop-up choose
your option Mark as Read or Delete Message.

I had to laugh at the Bum Wines comment...lol.

Blocking certain individuals...hmmm. *cough...mikey...cough* was
probably the best move I made recently. I found there was no noise to
knowledge ratio with posts nor answering them to a senseless old fart.

Time to turn the groups to be beneficial again.

Too late. It's DEAD.

Don't be stupid. I was answering a question for someone else who wanted
to know how the filter using Thunderbird. [1]

Nowhere did I state that I kill-filed anyone, or wanted to, and to claim
differently is a LIE. Duh.

[1] I do mark all my own messages "as read".

More than likely Mike's mental illness is causing the majority of his
bizarre conduct. It's a shame how he is so delusional that he thinks
he is doing something worth while and valuable.

I think you've just described about 90% of humankind. Present company
excluded, of course. Tom

Mountain bikers will do ANYTHING (except tell the truth) to avoid
talking about the harm that their selfish, destructive sport does.
