Default Police hunt road rage cyclist in Cambridge

The cyclist had stopped at the lights but did not move when they turned
green and Mark said he gave a “gentle” beep on his horn to alert the
rider to the light change when it turned ugly.

he got off his bike and tried to smash the driver’s side window.

“Once out the car the man went to hit my son on the head with the metal
bike lock.

“He hit him with such force it knocked him straight on his back. His arm
was badly injured.

“If he hadn’t put his arm up to protect himself his head would have been
smashed in. He could have been killed.

The attacker is described a “big man” in his late 40s or 50s and about
6ft tall.

What a pity there is no registration number to follow.

Do we know anyone who lives in Cambridge who has advocated hitting motorists
with a bike lock?

Ah yes - here it is:

It could usefilly sic be pointed out to motorists that if they are within
range of a swung D lock, they are too close, and could be held liable
for any collision (including with the D lock).

Attempted murder, by the sound of it.

what did the driver to to provoke such a reaction - probably a
near-lethal near miss by the sound of it

Yes, don't be distracted by the facts, will you?
Just have a wild fanciful guess which would put the motorist in a bad light,
won't you?

Did you actually read the story? All the facts were there.
