Novara Safari Is it a Good bike to buy? REI sells it.

I'm not familair with the Shimano components either. Cost $750. Seems to me

I am using a Safari for my bike trip form Alaska to Argentina(2w2c.com), bought it a bit ago to start breaking in, and I love it. The bars are great, preset to upgrade to disc brakes is amazing, and the price cant be beat. Plus, REI support anywhere you can find a shop.
