A difference to the usual two/three or four or more onto one cyclist, but
this coward attacked a 13 year old child for heaven's sake. How low can they
go?

The big man *still* had to have some Dutch courage before he attacked the
child though, says it all really.

Perhaps he'd drunk too much beer.

Is there anyone else we know who drinks too much beer?

There is something darker here Simon. Grown men do not chat up 13 year old
boys.

This cyclist managed to land a punch and his attackers fled, even
though they were armed.
Well done, my son.

QUOTE:
"A PLUCKY cyclist fought off two knife-wielding attackers during an
attempted late night mugging in Westcliff on Tuesday. The 41-year-old
man was cycling along Princes Street at around 2.30am on Tuesday, 9
August when he was punched from behind by two mystery attackers.

The blow saw the victim and his bike collide with a wall causing
injuries to the left of his stomach, left cheek and face. The victim
got to his feet and was punched by one of the suspects as the pair
demanded his mobile phone.

The brave victim refused and tried to cycle away before being cut by a
knife at the top of his right arm causing a minor skin abrasion. He
then managed to punch one of the suspects and cycle away. The two men
ran off empty handed.

Even lower it seems.
They are now robbing 11 year olds - what next?
Toddlers?

I find it very disappointing that the journalistic and linguistic standards
of the Liverpool Echo (once so high) have diminished to the point where a
headline can allege that a bike (rather than its owner or rider) has been
"robbed".

Surely this has *got* to be rock bottom.
Then again, I thought the last one was :-/

The second incident happened on neighbouring Jesus Green where a 28-year-old
woman was cycling when she was pulled off her bike and kicked. The woman
received minor injuries, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital and later
released
