Default front of hip pain

I recently started riding again (150-200miles/week) after a long
layoff (20 years) and am experiencing some pain (after rides) in
front of, and just below the hip. I have not been stretching. Anybody
got any ideas on this and what to do. Right now, I just plan to ride
thrrough it and hope it gets better in time.

Your seat might be too high.

Not surprising!

in front of, and just below the hip. I have not been stretching.

Smoking gun?!?

Anybody

Stretch more and ease off a bit until pain goes away.

Could be the hip flexor muscle. Some call this the "secret weapon" for
riding time trials.

I'd try strengthening and stretching it.

OK, start a bit slower. 150 miles to 200 miles a week is a *lot* of
miles to start with. You're probably either having a bit of
tendinitis or bursitis in your hip. Also check your bike fit.
