Cyclist killed in road accident
A prominent amateur cyclist has died while out on his bike on a road
in Cheshire.
Mel Vasey, 53, was on a group training ride with Birkenhead North End
Cycling Club when he and two others were in a collision with a car in
Two Mills.

The crash took place on the A540 on Sunday morning. A man has been
arrested and bailed, accused of causing death by dangerous driving.

Mr Vasey was the owner of the popular Liverpool bike shop Quinns Bike
Centre.

The killer got a £400 fine, a six month driving ban, and has to re-sit
his driving test.
