He did his job?? The manager of the team stated that he would have
the freedom to race as the TEAM LEADER! 50th place.....Hell, I could
do that. But my $3-5k a month in US criterium prize money prevents me
from even thinking about it.

"If Chris gives everything to be ready to race, he will have the

opportunity ride as a leader of the team, but he has to demonstrate
that he's fit, he's prepared and he's ready. This is a perfect team
for a rider like Chris. Everyone gets a chance to win."

Horner has made no secret of his desire to return to Europe. The
32-year-old raced with Française des Jeux (now FDJeux.com) from
1997-99, but wasn't terribly satisfied with his first European
experience.)

Paris Tours is not a race for Chris Horner. It's too easy. He's never going
to contest a 50-up Euro sprint. Lombardy will be interesting, however.

Yes there is more money in exhibition racing than real racing. But the
reason you don't do it is because you can't and no one would ask you
to. Your statement above tells me you are lazy and since you are
making a few grand a month you think your big time. Sorry your not.
You are making the kind of money average Euro pros made 20 years ago.
It is people like you that give EPO a home. You can make an OK wage
and you don't really need to work at it.

Horner said he did lots of miles that week so he would be
better-prepared for the race he had a chance to do well in the
following week, not the sprinter's race he did last Sunday.
