Default Watch those trucks...

I heard this from my brother-in-law while we were vacationing last
week. I think the story is probably true -- he's not one to BS...

He was driving on a rural two-lane road and got behind a livestock
truck (can't remember if he said they were cows or horses) that was
trying to find a safe spot to get around a bicyclist. Just after the
truck passed the cyclist, one of the animals let out a urine stream,
dowsing the cyclist, who pulled off the road. My BIL said it was
pretty disgusting -- there was evidently enough stuff splashing that he
had to turn on his windshield wipers.

....and I thought I smelled bad after one of MY rides... :-b

You're all wet, Austin.

(Was gonna say "Urine trouble now" but...word already taken.)

Sounds like Urban Legend to me.

If my BIL had said, "my buddy told me about a guy who saw..." then I
would agree, but he saw this with his own eyes. Also, it's not
far-fetched. (Unlike, say, strapping JATO rockets to an automobile and
setting them off...)

The real question is whether he was BS-ing. Personally I doubt he was,
but I won't swear he couldn't.

well... on a training spin a few years back, on a rural road in Ireland
about 10 miles outside the edge of suburbia...
there had been a trickle of fresh looking and smelling pig slurry
running along the side of the road, about 18 inches in from the
verge... I rounded a corner and came across a big puddle of the
slurry.... my road tyres lost grip and the front of the bike slid out.
I ended up more or less lying in a pool of pig slurry.

Farmers in the area use it for fertiliser.

Major stinko.
