Default New bike via insurance

Through events I'll bore you with later my beloved Venom was bent.

My insurance have offered me as a replacement either the Trek 1500 or the
Specialized Allez Elite. Both lovely bikes.

Can anyone offer any opinion on which is the better one? Its just for
pleasure at the moment no racing.

I can't help but feel its a horrible joke & it will be snatched away........

with the ball, just stick it in the net and we'll discuss all your options
afterwards."
