Poor man.

It happened to a colleague of mine - heart attack whilst cycling - nearly
twenty years ago.

OTOH, it has also happened to at least one person I knew whilst he was
driving, and to couple more whilst walking along the street.

Yes it is.

Some heart attacks may have nothing whatsoever to do with a persons
fitness level.

I know someone who had a heart attack whilst sleeping, should we strive
to stay awake?

Much depends on the physical condition prior to the attack. Was the
guy a regular cyclist and had he had a heart examination recently?
Also, it doesn't do to overdo exercise and cycling up hills is very
difficult for someone who is not in a good condition. Generally,
cycling is a very healthy way to travel though, if you ignore the
considerable danger posed by drivers.

He did cycle regularly - every day - though I think that this was at least
because he had weight and cardio-vascular concerns. I don't know his full
medical history.

"Poor health" and "injury" are two different things.
