Jail sentence for driver who killed cyclist when he was ‘running late’,

A father-of-two has been jailed for mowing down a 22-year-old cyclist in
a horrific head-on crash just days before Christmas.
Robert Maddiss, 30, was ‘running late’ for work when he ploughed in to
James Trickey in his Renault Clio.

The chorister, who had not long graduated from the University of Oxford,
was declared dead at the scene on December 23.
Peterborough Crown Court head how Maddiss, who is from Coates, was
travelling in the opposite direction to James when he cut a sharp corner
and collided head on with him.
