A BMX style skatepark/dirt jumping bike with solid pegs could work.
It's plenty heavy, has a good amount of mass to swing around, and the
peg would make a good thing to actually hit with.

Yes - tying people to tent-pegs in the middle of desert - and
preferable in vicinity of bulldog ant colony also works well.
And you can ride there and back on your Pugsley based desert bike.

Do tell - if you explain how we may be able to help you with the
technical design aspects of your machine. There's a lot of technical
expertise here. (But please don't ask for a comparison of steel
killing machines vs. carbon fiber, the thread will get messy).

Well, we have all seen low spoked wheels take care of squirrels. If
the spokes have an aero profile, they could be use as a guillotine. I
wonder if Tourete would consider this a technological discussion.
