Just heard that my new cassette sits stuck at a Fedex station in Michigan since last week and won't move until the weekend. So far for Express. My current set is badly finished but I need to goose it along for another 100mi or so now. All it'll get for that last hooray is used motor oil, hope it won't start squealing. No kidding: A guy from Kenya was interviewed as to why he used beer in the brake system of his VW. He said it's cheaper, that he can't afford standard brake fluid and that he uses Nigerian beer. "Why Nigerian beer and not from your own country?" ... "Because it brakes better". -- Regards, Joerg http://www.analogconsultants.com/ |

I am a bit less on Usenet these days because I rekindled an old hobby of mine, ham radio (mostly on shortwave bands). Also some extra caregiver duties that take time. -- Regards, Joerg http://www.analogconsultants.com/ |

It is, except that I'd prefer Southern Utah for MTB reasons and political reasons. This area is nice though, good MTB turf and (finally!) some good bike path connections for the road bike. I thought you were talking about commuting via bike to Silicon Valley? Never. No 10 horses will drag me to work or commute there. If I ever mentioned valley I meant Sacramento Valley. I often rode down into he flatlands there but not over the last 12 months. They were over-obedient and closed all the good pubs so we rode into the hills where there is more freedom (and the beer kept flowing freely). -- Regards, Joerg http://www.analogconsultants.com/ |
