Six-Day Site Updated
There are some updates to the Six-Day site.
The Olympic results are included from 1896 to 2004 (completed events) Every known Velodrome in the World is listed along with some pertinent information. The velodrome data will mostly be reformatted to make it more readable as time becomes available and both the results and velodrome data may undergo some drastic change when the pages have been reviewed with Lynx, Links, E-Links, w3m etc for compatability with text based browsers. However, for now, with a GUI browser, the pages are more than acceptably readable. It just seemed opportune to get the information online before the Olympic Track events start tomorrow and it was a little more involved than it appeared at first. On the Palmares, there are still 10 venues to complete and this should be accomplished within the next few days. You will note from the 2004-2005 Calendar that some closely related events which are not strictly six-day events have been included. These may be of interest to Trackies and an example of such an event is the Ballerup shindig celebrating the reopening of the Copenhagen Velodrome. -- le Vent a Dos, Davey Crockett Six Day Site: http://members.rogers.com/sixday/sixday.html |
