Default Biking/Boating trips?

Hello,

Have any rec.bicycle.soc cyclists ever went on a bicycle/boat
venture?

To clarify, my idea of a bicycle/boat venture is taking a boat loaded
with your bike down, say, the Mississippi River, and cycling in the
small towns along the way.

When I was a younger, I'd frequently ride on my father's friend's
houseboat. It was on Wisconsin's Wolf River. We'd often stop at small
towns along the way.

Too bad I wasn't a cyclist then because it would've been some
excellent riding. I could've biked to the next small town where I'd
meet up with them.

Has any of you done something like this? If so, where you do it? How'd
it go?

Regards,
Cullen
