Bicyclist falls ill, dies

An Arizona man died Sunday after falling ill while mountain biking on
a popular Park City trail, the authorities said.
Floyd Conway was 63 years old. He was from Scottsdale, Ariz.
Investigators are unsure what killed him.
Phil Kirk, a Park City Police Department captain, said the police
received a call at 11:42 a.m. reporting the man was suffering a
medical problem on the Spiro Tunnel trail. Another bicyclist found him
lying on the side of the trail.
The police sent a mountain-biking officer onto the trail, and
paramedics followed. They tried to revive him with CPR. They brought
him down from the trail on a stretcher and he was taken in an
ambulance to a Murray hospital.
You are such an asshole.

Obviously I care about mountain bikers' welfare more than THEY do.

That's because you are a mountain biker.

If Mikey V. is a mountain biker, then he is not all bad.

You are such an asshole.

A good friend of mine dropped dead of
a massive myocardial infarction while
out jogging some years back. He was
dead before his face hit the pavement.

You can die of anything at any time.

I can verify that, last Sept I had a major heart attack, I'm alive today
because two of the bike riders I was with knew CPR very well. I now have
a
Pacemaker/Defibbulator implanted, and I'm back to riding, not as well as
before but I'm riding.

Biking saved my life.

After it almost killed you. Why can't mountain bikers be HONEST?????

How do you get that? You are without a doubt you of the most stupid people
on the face of the earth.

mike, What's your opinion of cops on Mountain bikes in cities and
congested areas where they can sneak up on criminals, etc to prevent
harm to others?

You had a heart attack while mountain biking! It's no coincidence....

It's idiotic to ride a mountain bike in the city, for which road bikes
are designed. DUH!

I ride my mountain bike almost exclusively in town on tar toads. Reasons?
They are far less prone to punctures, just for starters.
So DUH yourself.

Beats fixing a puncture every couple of km. Plus the many other advantages
I can think of.

Even children know you can buy smooth mountain bike tires, DUH.

Many ride mountain-bikes in the city for many reasons. You wouldn't
know that because it's hard for you to see what's going on in the city
when you are looking at it from 30,000'.

That are secret? Nonsense. In the city you need a bike that is
optimized for city riding. Pavement quickly wears out the knobs on
knobby tires. Mountain bikes are one of the most poorly designed,
useless things ever invented. They cause impotence and hand and wrist
problems, to say nothing of serious injuries and death! Mountain
bikers are just to arrogant to admit it.
