I'm looking to get a new bike (or two). But nothing out there is really
suitable at the price I'm looking at. Can anyone recommend a frame
builder in Adelaide? Steel or Aluminium.

Anyone? How about a fella who can whip up a quick steel mtp frame and
ship it?
What I'm after is a steel MTB with horizontal dropouts that is big
enough for my 6'6" body. I've been looking around at cash converters for
cheap bikes but they all seem to be flimsy. None come with beefy
dropouts like my Trek.

am sure if you go into any of the local bike shops (or ring them) they
should be able to help.

Dennis Whitehorn used to build custom frames and did a good job (not sure if
he still makes em though...Malbut Cycles at Munno Para can help out here)

or the usual suspects like Norwood Parade Cycles (Phil Mittiga), Super
Elliotts or Bicycle Express should be able to help out too.

good luck!
