Cyclist forces driver to reverse out of his way
QUOTE:
"The footage, which was captured on a helmet-cam, shows the cyclist riding along an unknown street in England when a car coming in the opposite direction drives towards him. Failing to consider how quickly the cyclist is travelling, the driver goes around an ambulance parked on her side of the road and blocks the way. Standing firm the man tells her to go back once more before asking the woman whether she has read the Highway Code. Eventually the woman decides to give in to his command and reverses back behind the ambulance to make room for the cyclist. The man then rides past and shouts for the woman to read the Highway Code again before continuing towards the end of the road." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...right-way.html |

The report states 'right of way' the Highway Code states that no one has 'right of way', so the cyclist should read the HC I do wonder if the cyclist's actions would have been so robust if faced with a male driver? |

Most drivers would do a Lang and get out and threaten to 'fackin' 'ave' him, if he didn't move out of the way. -- angus smith '_The Guardian_. Wrong about everything. All the time' (Anon) |

Many people make mistakes while using the road, including miestimating speed and distance, it is not the preserve of cyclists. All road use involves give and take. |

To be nicked for s. 137 of the Highways Act 1980? -- john smith '_The Guardian_. Wrong about everything. All the time' (Anon) |
