Hmm! Police seem to be siding with the cyclists for a change. Let's
see though if they follow through and punish the road-rage motorist.

"A man has been held on suspicion of assault over an attack on a
cyclist in Bexley which was filmed on a helmet cam.

Police said a 29-year-old man was being held on suspicion of assault
after voluntarily attending a police station.

Simon Page, 49, of Guildford, Surrey, was punched in the head by a car
driver as he rode through Bexley Village, Bexley, south-east London,
on 15 May."

I doubt it. They will probably just laugh at the ****** cyclist.

'Suspicion' being the operative word.

Face it retard, if motorists used compo cams to record cyclists breaking
the law the system would overload in days.

He is a lawyer - they usually don't get laughed at in court.
Contempt etc.
You can get put away for that.

Yes, the evidence is really sketchy, isn't it :-)

Tell us more.

How about a few examples (OK, just one or two good ones will do) of someone -
anyone - being imprisoned for laughing. Even at a lawyer.

Depends what the charge is. But legal experts like you already know that.

The only reason is because the guy (John Nicholls) handed himelf in. The
cyclist took this to the cops after the assault, and they basically gave
up after the person doing the punching wasn't the owner of the car. It
was only after the video was posted on Youtube and went viral that the
guy handed himself into the Police. Who will then claim a detection when
infact they did nothing ffs.

He is a farrier BTW, this is his website:

I would suspect he handed himself in to gain Brownie points with the
courts before Plod were shamed into actually nicking him.

On what contingency?

Presumably with "careless driving" charges as they fiddled around with
cameras instead of paying attention to the road.

C'mon Simon, on a daily basis, I see cyclist RL jumpers and loads
cycling on the path. I even see community policemen regularly riding on
the pavement.
I also ride a bike and *never* jump lights.
I see the very odd car driver jump them, but nowhere near the amount of
cyclists that do.

Indeed, there are law breakers all over the place if you look hard
enough.
