Default Cyclists in the heart of the violent riots

1943: Sangita Myska, BBC News

Groups of young men on bicycles and foot are gathering around police cordons
in central Hackney, hoods pulled over their heads and scarves disguising
their faces; tension in the area is palpably rising. Police reinforcements
have been seen arriving in the direction of Mare street.

1923: Dean A tweets: Just seens about 200 youths in hoodies pass through the
streets of East Ham with bikes and batons

No reports of anyone in a car attacking Police or looting shops.

The rioters seem to dislike cars though and keep setting fire to them. Maybe
they dislike seeing people killed by motorists?

19:40: masked (respro wearing) middle aged cyclist faces a line of riot
police in Lewisham.

Not what I expected on my commute home but the vast majority of the
potential rioters/spectators looked like excited school kids.

Lewisham? I will have to contact my friend Peter and find out if he's
OK. Thanks.

Treated by specially trained paramedic response teams in full body
armour & fireproof jumpsuits, albeit in ambulance green.

The cost of dealing with this scum is going to be enormous.
