i tried some other forms of activism only to be alienated by a lot

proved
to be not only good for the economy, roads, traffic, my health and

a
bunch
of other stuff and i dont even have to deal with a lot of

uncompromising
idealists to do it! when im cycling nobody can call me a liberal (i

hate
that!), or a conservative (because i think they mean neo-con); but

bicycling
is conservative in the most bare sense of the word: it's practical.

It's a pee hole in the snow. Don't intellectualize it, just ride &
enjoy life.

OK, I had my first laugh for Monday Morning. Why do we try to
intellectualize everything? Why can't we just enjoy it? Riding a bike
should be fun, freedom, exercise and a feeling of liberation from the
cars, gas prices and road rage we deal with when we drive. I found
cycling to be a real sense of freedom. A time to just ENJOY!!!! But I
am not in training for a century. I am just riding for fitness and fun.
All Good Things,
Maggie
PS. A PEE HOLE IN THE SNOW??????????? I'd rather think of Angels in
the snow.

haha. so making a positive statement that cycling as activism transcends
political distinctions is too intellectual for you? ok how about this: i
like cycling. cycling is fun. Spot likes to chase the bicycle. look at Spot
go!

P.S. Why call it new when it always starts with "A soldier was killed in
Iraq...."? It should be called old or repeat.

It's new to the kid who just lost his father or mother.

.... or more likely the father and mother who just lost their kid...

That is why the military sends someone to inform the family or makes
some kind of attempt on a personal level. On the national level it gets
very redundant.

I think perhaps part of the reason for this is because the news media
has changed from just reporting facts to gonzo journalism. It's now
possible to just figure out which way you lean and then allow Bill
O'Reilly or Michael Kinsley to do all your thinking for you. Things
are so much easier when you don't have to worry about forming your own
opinions, and it makes evaluating other people much easier too because
you can thoughtlessly pigenhole them after about 30 seconds of
conversation.

Look at Spot, the Pit Bull Terrier, get mad and bit the irate cyclist's leg
off just below the knee.
(The plot thickens)
