Exactly. But we do know what the cyclist did. Clearly, the cyclist is an
arsehole who thought he was king of the road.

I wouldn't mind hearing the cyclist's side of the story or at least a word
or two from the passengers before reaching a conclusion as definitive as
that.

Since there were no reported comments from passengers apart from what happened
to the driver, I doubt any of them noticed anything.

Clearly the fact that he was blatantly using a road that he was not
entitled to attests to part of the statement (aside from whether the law
should be different)

Yer, right, excuse if I wait for that to be confirmed before deciding
that the bicyclist was a total nut case as they are trying to make out.

I thought all buses were equiped with radios these days. So why didn't
the driver report it immediately. I'm sure the police would have been all
over the spot in minutes.

Lol, the bus drive has now admitted to "overtaking the bicyclist" and I
guess we all know what really happened.

Does not alter the fact, the cyclist is the "nutcase" for being on the
road illegally. By all means get the law changed but until then stay off
it.(I would love to be able to use it on a cycle or motorbike as it is
an empty white elephant most of the time)

Sorry, having a horn in your ear is not a reason to commit assault.

Yes, the assault is not yet proven, but neither is the loudness or
length or timing or even existence of the horn blast.

No, for committing a road rage assault.... Being on the transit way
is wrong but it's not that wrong.

And if you think you know what happened because of the word "overtake"
terry, you are being a fool. You think you know because your
prejudice is speaking for you. Until you have sat in court or seen
the transcript you don't know.

And likewise, being in the wrong lane causing some inconvenience is
rarely reason to have ones life put unnecessarily at risk, which the
cyclist pretty clearly thought had happened.

And even then, I'd have my suspicion that the absolute truth would
come out.

All software sucks, all hardware sucks, all drivers suck, and all
lawyers suck.
