The decision to use nuclear weapons on Japan was solely done in vengeance,
since the Japanese were communicating through third parties the
willingness to surrender as long as the Emperor could remain a figurehead.

The decision to use nuclear weapons on Japan was done to save America
lives - period!

The old timers from that war still talk about the Japs, not the Japanese.
The hatred for them is still there.

No Shimano or vintage SunTour on Ed's bicycles then?

Ed overestimates US capabilities and underestimates Iranian
capabilities. It is widely believed that the US Navy has NO viable
defense against the latest generation of supersonic Russian cruise
missiles, especially at the rate which the Iranians are capable of
launching them.

Tom Sherman also said that the Iraq military would be a fearsome enemy
prior to our invasion. Of course, they melted away before us like the
craven cowards that Muslims ever prove themselves to be. Muslims are only
good at killing innocent civilians and hiding behind women and children.
We would do to Iran exactly what we did to Iraq - make short work of
them.
...

Nonsense. They are still opposing the US occupation, and will eventually
win, just like the North Vietnamese won. The age of colonialism ended in
the early 20th Century. All post WW1 colonial enterprises will eventually
fail, including the one on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean.

We have no interest in imposing a colonalisiam on any country in the Middle
East. We do have an interest in insuring that oil be available to us at a
fair market price.

And Ed Dolan invented the Internet.

Ed is confused again.

But not confused enough to fall for a liberal-socialist-communist ideology
like a certain Tom Sherman of ARBR. Now let's hear it one more time for
those Islamic terrorist freedom fighters!

Mr. Sherman confuses the US with Britain of the past century. He is either
living in the past or the future, but never the present.

W H O O S H !

Here is a hint for Ed. The white European colonial project is not run by
the US (but is highly supported by the US).

The Arabs have no more right to the Middle East than anyone else on this
earth. They should all be booted back to the Arabian Peninsula from whence
they came. Mr. Sherman does not know the history of that region of the world
and so he brays like the ignorant jackass that he is. The Arabs would be
nothing without their oil wealth.
