Innovation in bicycle helmet design
Like wearing half a watermelon:
http://www.designboom.com/design/this-paper-pulp-bike-helmet-can-save-your-life/ Despite the obvious limitations of not having any class, style, or approval stickers, such a throw away helmet might be a good solution for litigation paranoid municipalities that require helmets for their bicycle share programs. Oh wait... you want style? http://www.designboom.com/design/cornrow-bike-helmet-cushioned-braids-03-28-2014/ Yes, it does look like wearing a simulated turd on your head. For those complaining that the traditional foam lid does not provide all around protection: http://www.designboom.com/art/salt-n-pepper-squid-don-the-diving-bell-for-creative-thinking-10-24-2013/ How about a chair that morphs into a safety helmet (in the event of earthquake, nuclear attack, or zombie invasion): http://www.designboom.com/design/mamoris-chair-doubles-as-a-safety-helmet-during-earthquakes-11-05-2013/ Folding helmet: http://www.designboom.com/design/bloom-helmet-unfolds-for-speedy-emergency-evacuation-10-24-2013/ No foam, but I still like the idea. What to do with your helmet when not riding: http://www.designboom.com/design/bloom-helmet-unfolds-for-speedy-emergency-evacuation-10-24-2013/ This might be a bicycle helmet, but I'm not su http://www.designboom.com/technology/star-wars-carbon-fiber-stormtroopers-helmet/ Well, at least it's made from CF. Turn signal Helmet: http://www.designboom.com/project/signal-helmet/ Bonus... Werewolf bicycle saddle: http://www.designboom.com/project/bike-seat-sculptures/ Ok, back to whatever you weren't suppose to be doing. -- Jeff Liebermann 150 Felker St #D http://www.LearnByDestroying.com Santa Cruz CA 95060 http://802.11junk.com Skype: JeffLiebermann AE6KS 831-336-2558 |

My van equips with an 2006 Audiovox video backup system at $100. Camera, a small 1.22"x 1" box RF transmits to screen 2"x2", both 12V coax powered. Used for a right side view or combo rear/side or in Baja, a berm camera showing right front wheel edge and road edge. Baja Uno is narrow, often elevated 3-4 above desert. I'm not finding resources for rear mount on bike helmet or frame videocam to a wrap around 1"x5? Screen under visor. WTH ? Maybe a white screen with red objects leaving a light small pixel trail indicating oncoming speed. http://www.supercircuits.com/securit...-video-cameras http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i...p-cameras.html |
