Default Bicycle Roadside Assistance Clubs?

Is anyone a member of any Bicycle Roadside Assistance Clubs? I'd
like to know what your experiences are with it.

Here's one that does it:

Bicycle Roadside Assistance

The nation's first bicycle “pick-up” service is now available through
Better World Club.

Better World Club will supply this service nationwide. It works just the
same as our reliable emergency roadside assistance program for auto-
mobiles. We'll take you and your bike to the nearest repair facility, or
home, within 30 miles from pick up.

Click here for prices and membership levels

-----

Here’s how it works:

BIKE-ONLY membership will take you and your bicycle up to 30 miles in total
when you break down, assuming the service provider can't fix your bicycle
on site. You get two calls per year and receive up to a maximum of 30 miles
of “pick up service”. This is a full service member-ship, with the same
discounts on hotels, restaurants, and other travel services as an AUTO-ONLY
member. Special introductory rate of only $39.95 per year.

AUTO AND BICYCLE membership includes coverage for your bicycle and
automobile. It includes up to four service calls per year, two of which can
be bicycle calls. Bicycle coverage is a maximum of 30 miles free from pick
up. AUTO coverage is either five miles of free towing for BASIC member or
100 miles of free towing for PREMIUM members. The cost is $64.95 per year
(Basic) and $94.95 per year (Premium).

Our PLUS program allows you to add additional household drivers or riders
to any membership for just one payment of $15.00 annually. (Spouse/domestic
partner and/or dependent children living at home or at school.)

If you are already a member and would like to add bicycle assistance,

I've often thought on similar ideas but am offended by the commercialism
your link demonstrates.

My version might be more like the warmshowers list or a cooperative but not
a commercial enterprise. I'll leave that to the cyclist that buys
fantastically expensive jerseys or boutique bikes to fund.

What's wrong with taking a cab? No premium. They're eager to help.
You only pay in years you need them.

I myself just walk home, and no longer carry a tire kit, since my
commute doesn't go impossibly far from home, just a few hours' walk.
Once or twice a year I walk. No hassle with expired rubber cement
on the road. People stop and offer a ride, which I turn down because
I actually like walking once in a while; but they see me every day
and are eager to help.

A genuinely disabling breakdown is _very_ rare though, if you carry
the usual tools and tubes. Say a derailleur sucking itself into the
spokes; that's pretty disabling. But I've ridden 60 miles home with
a broken rear axle, and with a pedal that broke loose from its bearings,
and a freewheel with broken pawls (tie freewheel to spokes; ruins wheel
but gets you home).
