ciclosport hac4 metric vs miles
I am really interested in getting the HAC4. Now debating on whether to
get the metric versus us-miles. If you own one of these devices, and have time to provide feedback, I have the following questions: 1 Does the metric version allow you to change the temperature units from c. to f. ? 2 Is it true that the US-miles version is missing some features that are included in the metric version? Reason I ask is that I noticed some sellers advertising both metric and us-miles as having 57 functions, yet ciclosport info shows only metric as having the the ascent/descent rate as well as number of ascents (which would be cool to have for counting number of runs skiing). Maybe newer 2004 versions have added feature set to us-miles? 3 Is the heartrate monitor strap compatible with polar devices? Would be handy to use in the gym with excersise equipment that is compatible with Polar. 4 Is it possible to attach speed sensor to rear wheel? Would be handy when training on indoor trainer. Comment: Regarding the wattage accuracy, I understand that for using outdoors, the accuracy will depend a great deal on environmental factors (ie wind). This could result in inconsitant results day to day over same course. However on an indoor trainer, I would think that it would report back very consistant results day to day, hence be a useful and accurate tool for measuring improvement. True? Thanks, |

Sorry about that. Originally was only going to post in "tech", however
saw a lot of HAC4 users in racing. To all who wish to reply, please use the post in rec.bicycles.tech. Thanks and my aplogize. pgg Dan Connelly wrote in message ... If this belongs on racing, so does every tech post. Please resist the cross-posting urge. Dan |
