That's a nice article; I enjoyed reading it.
Thanks for contributing (the URL to) it.

Anything that shows transportational cycling
is not such a daring-do astounding feat, and
can be accomplished by anyone who can make
a bike go, is a good thing.

RetroGrouchBilly might wanna dip his oar in
about the focus on women cyclists. IME
women riders bring a civilising and pro-social
effect to bear on traffic. Even if their
presence causes drivers to slow down and ogle,
at least they slow down. Better they should
watch where they're going, though.

And there are some Nervous Nellie men who
say they'd like to ride, but they have their
"reservations" (i.e: fears) about it. The
women in the article have no such reservations.

Including the various local-to-CU cycling resourses
in the article was a nice touch.

cheers,
Tom

So that explains all the bikes parked at St. Joe's. Saw them a bunch of
times riding by when I lived in the area, but never stopped.

Surprised the News-Gazoo published an article about bicycles.

Interesting article. "All weather" cycle commuting was the most unusual
part. Most people seem to consider cycling a fair weather activity. My
wife is a bike commuter, she's like the woman described in the article
who needs to be outdoors a lot -- perhaps most of us do. After a 20 mile
ride Saturday in overcast, chilly weather with nearly gale force winds,
she remarked all day about what a great ride it was. I always remind her
she says that about every ride.
