Why call it a 180 then? Why not a 140. Or a one, for that matter. In
geometry, when you go half way around a circle, it is 180 degrees. The
whole way around would be 360. A 180 degree angle is a straight line.

I am not trying to be argumentative for the sake of argument.

The name of the trick is a 180 unispin (or 360, etc.), but recently
people have started to abbreviate it because the name is long and it
sounds bad.

I know I'd rather say "Three-spin" than "Three-six-ty-u-ni-spin" but
that's just me.
And you wouldn't call it a 140 unless it spun 140 degrees, which isn't
really possible because on a unicycle unispins differ by 90
degrees...pedals to tire to pedals, etc.
