Default Bendy buses are the work of the devil

I have come to that conclusion after two near misses this week.
First over taken by bus that then pulls into bus stop while I am level
with rear wheel.

Second I was over taking bus stopped in bus stop bus pulls out when I am
about level with bendy bit trapping me between bus and raised center
island.

Both buses First Glasgow.

Do these drivers get any additional training to drive these buses?

No idea. However, given that drivers of the ridiculous guided buses
in Edinburgh have additional training I imagine the answer is yes.

Whether this training amounts to anything useful is another matter.

Or a passenger. Bus drivers round here move off while rummaging for
change for the passenger who's just got on, and the drivers of double
deckers seem to delight in trying to get upwardly mobile passengers to
tumble down the stairs.

mmm thats another one. i rarely use the bus, i normally use bike or car
both of which are faster. no bus lane or rather only a very short
section, thus the bus is as stuck as a car.

OT side note: American comedian Bob Newhart had a routine playing a bus
driving instructor. Outrageously funny, especially if you've ridden a
few buses. Sounded much like your description.

Apparently so have ours. Personally I never use them because they go
nowhere that I can't get to by bike, train, foot or car for considerably
less aggravation and money.

What was that about an integrated transport infrastructure? Has anyone
told the bus companies? :-)

heh which is why the bus in abergavenny often leaves before the train
arrives....

also why there are so many taxi's in the area.

They do. Doesn't mean they won't drive badly, though.
